Alipay fee calculator

Alipay charges foreign cards nothing at or below ¥200 per single payment, and 3% of the full amount once a payment goes above ¥200. The fee applies to the whole payment, not just the part over the threshold — a ¥250 payment is charged ¥7.50, not ¥1.50.

Worked examples

  • ¥100 → no fee, ¥100 charged
  • ¥200 → no fee, ¥200 charged
  • ¥250 → ¥7.50 fee, ¥257.50 charged
  • ¥1,000 → ¥30.00 fee, ¥1,030.00 charged

Because the threshold applies per payment rather than per day, splitting a larger bill into payments of ¥200 or less avoids the fee entirely.

What the calculator does not include

Your own bank may add a foreign transaction fee on top. That is set by the card issuer, not by Alipay. If your card advertises no foreign transaction fees, the Alipay figure is what you pay.

Limits

Verified foreign users can spend up to $5,000 USD per single transaction and $50,000 USD per year. Verification is a passport check inside the app; without it the ceilings are lower.
